The Megaflex timing belts are made of thermoplastic polyurethane with a reinforcement made of steel cables inside.
This type of belt has excellent operating characteristics and resistance to high loads.
The nylon coating of the tooth (NFT), added during the production, improves the operating characteristics, reduces noise and the coefficient of friction.
From the image of the belt we can distinguish its two components:
1) The body of the belts is made of white thermoplastic polyurethane, hardness 92 ShA, characterized by high levels of wear resistency even in presence of shocks or load peaks;
2) High strenght galvanized steel cables helically wounded to ensure a high breaking load and low elongation.
Eventually is allowed to add one more material on the back of the belt for special applications.
The belt is produced in T, AT, RPP pitch. A belt with Isoran pitch could be produced for developments above 1.5 m.
